by | 18 February 2017

A man has been charged with punching a police horse in a town centre.

Gary Dornan, 33, is accused of punching the horse while in Scotland last Wednesday afternoon.

Dornan, from the Scottish town of Stirling, was also charged with behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by uttering threats of violence and homophobic remarks while being taken to Falkirk Police Station after the initial incident.

He appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court on Thursday where he was charged with breaching the peace by conducting himself in a disorderly manner.

He denied both charges and Sheriff Michael Wood granted bail, with a trial set for May 8.
